Stay Cool and Look Great- Ice Cube Beauty Tricks

The kids might be back to school because fall’s here, but the thermometer is still showing those some warm temps in many parts of the country.

Summer is not officially over yet!  Those late summer nights and days out in the sun can be tough on the skin.

Looking for some fun ways to cool off and look great? Here are three ways to cool off and take care of your skin using ice cubes:

1. Cucumber Facial Scrub Cubes

Puree a cucumber and blend together with a squeeze of lemon juice and a teaspoon of honey. Pour into an ice cube tray and freeze.

When you are ready, pop out a cube and let it melt slightly for about 30 seconds. Then, gently rub the cube all over your face and neck.

As it melts on your warm skin, the ice slush will exfoliate your skin. The naturally cooling cucumber will clean and moisturize your face.

For an added boost, let the juice sit on your face for 5-10 minutes before rinsing.

2. Green Tea Puffy Eye Cubes

You’ve probably heard of using tea bags to relieve puffy, swollen eyes. These frozen green tea cubes are even more effective.

To make, brew a strong cup of green tea and then freeze in a tray. Use the cool cubes on dark circles and puffy eyes to reduce swelling and leave you looking (and feeling) refreshed!

3. Aloe Sun Soother Cubes

Have these soothing cubes in the freezer for the next time you get too much sun. Pour pure aloe vera into an ice cube tray and freeze. Apply to sun-burned skin for instant relief.

Bonus Tip: After the  cubes are frozen, transwer to a zip-lock bag and label. That way you can make and keep several different variations in the freezer ready and waiting for when you need them!
