As I was designing the call “3 Steps to Fill Your Practice Fast in Less than 3 Months”, it brought back memories of my own struggles with getting clients when I started my first business.  One of the things I thought about was how painful it was to not be doing what I really wanted to do at the time.

I was still working in a pharmacy, frustrated with telling patients to take a bunch of drugs, when I didn’t really believe it myself.  I didn’t know what to do next.  I just knew I had to get out.  So I thought—at least I could help other pharmacists get into jobs they liked.   So I started doing that.

But I had no clue what I was doing.  First of all, I didn’t know how to talk about what we offered & how to become a company that pharmacies would use.  And why would someone want to pay me money for having a pharmacist work under me?

I felt guilty for making money off something that seemed simple in a way.  At the same time, I also felt like a fraud when I would tell pharmacies that we could provide pharmacist coverage, because it felt like such a commitment and I doubted myself about delivering the commitment.  The truth is, in our industry, we go look for a pharmacist only after a pharmacy tells us a particular need, so things were never 100% certain. And if you didn’t provide the right pharmacist in the exact time frame, then you didn’t do your recruiting job well.)
