I have developed a new hands on technique that fixes people and need more exposure

    • Chen Yen on July 15, 2019 at 2:36 pm

Hi Dan, awesome! Speaking can definitely help you get the word out their quickly (faster than most approaches out there) and helps you get seen as a go-to person for what you do.

    Burn out and overwhelmed.

I am looking forward to hearing your suggestions about your experience and any ‘formulas’ for talks that you have realized!

Also, about websites, they seem so outdated. I have one for coaching because that reaches beyond the local area. For acupuncture I use the FB page I started last year when moved to a new state to reach out to people, but my patients rarely look or even care about that. Can you recommend what is a other choice that is up and coming? My practice is word of mouth, or people meet me at my workshops and Health Fairs directly and schedule. I also post to FB about once a week, and I have heard that we need to post daily and that gets shared to the other social media. Have you found that as necessary with the monthly talks? I may need to hire a Virtual Assistant now.

I am looking forward to hearing you!

Hi Ann Marie, websites are helpful so people so people get a sense of you from it. As far as up & coming, it really depends on your whole strategy. Instagram is up and coming, however, there are few acupuncturists & other holistic health practitioners who have a full practice primarily from Instagram. What I have often found is that effectiveness is less about what’s up and coming as it is whether you are effective & consistent with just 1-2 strategies.

If you enjoy educating & teaching, speaking is still one of the fastest ways to attract patients to your practice AND to your coaching business (you just need to have a step-by-step approach in place that works).

To answer your question, Facebook algorithms have changed and continue to change. Back in 2008, you could post something up on your Facebook business page and most people on your business page would see it, whereas nowadays social media analytic firms are reporting even as low less than 2% of the people who like your page are actually seeing your posts whenever you post. You pretty much have to pay for ads in order for your post to be seen, unless you are spending a lot of time on social media encouraging engagement organically (ie, posts, FB Lives, etc).

RE: monthly talks? I have other ideas for you that are better than posting to FB. Will send you a private message. Hope you found the webinar helpful!

Everybody wants to speak to get patients. It’s very competitive where I am. What makes you so confident that it easy to get speaking gigs?

    • Chen Yen on June 23, 2019 at 5:29 pm

Thank you for your comment! We have helped many practitioners in competitive areas to get speaking gigs. It’s a matter of knowing what to do, being prepared, and positioning yourself as a go-to speaker/practitioner. When I work with our clients, we get them prepared with things they never thought to be important to be prepped with. It’s part of our secret sauce. What kind of a practitioner are you?
